- You miss menstrual period. This is one of the most known symptoms. You lack a menstrual period when you are pregnant in the first month. The missed period, however, can be caused by other reasons including stress, hormonal imbalance, or some forms of illness. So, the missed period alone cannot tell that you are pregnant.

- You have morning sickness. You will feel nauseous in the morning. You can notice if it lasts for several days. If not, it may not be a symptom since nausea can be caused by many other factors.

- You go to bathroom more often. Due to the hormonal change from the pregnancy, pregnant women normally need to urinate more frequently. When you are pregnant, your hormone known as human chorionic gonadotropin ( hCG) is produced. This hormone has the side effect to make you urinate more. This results in frequent urination. In later months, frequent urination can be caused by with increased weight of uterus which sits on the bladder.

- You can have higher body temperature. During the ovulation period, your body temperature rises slightly especially in the morning. It will go down after a few days. If the high temperature persists, it can be considered another of the first month pregnancy symptoms.

- You can have tender and enlarged breasts. The hormonal changes cause the change on your breasts to prepare for baby feeding. The change is noticeable in the first month and becomes less noticeable in the later months. That is because the body can adjust itself as pregnancy progresses.

- You can feel fatigue. This is another common symptom due to hormonal changes. The lack of energy will last only a few days and it will go away as the body adjusts to the changes.
